To prevent any leakage and to ensure pressure integrity of the metal-to-metal seal connections, the minimum make-up torque requirement has been increased to 50% of its tool joint torsional strength. The maximum make up torque is still calculated based on 60% of tool joint torsional strength.

 

The following metal-to-metal seal connections are affected:

 

Ø      XTM-39

Ø      XTM-40

Ø      XTM-46

Ø      CTM-46

Ø      CTM-57
